Hello,

I have a small problem with the display of YouTube,

Suddenly, I can no longer load YouTube properly.
I've tried a lot of things:

- CTRL + F5
- Clear the cache
- In the command line: "arp -d" "ipconfig /flushdns"
- Disable antivirus
- Disable adblock and others...
- Clear the browser cache
- Reboot the Livebox
- Disable Windows firewall
- Try with Chrome and Opera
- Reinstall Opera

I try to go directly to www.youtube.com or link to a video, it's the same thing
There you go... I'm out of ideas,

Thank you for your help

Best regards,
Roche Corentin

Hello,

What is your version of Windows?

What antivirus do you have?

Do you have any other protection software?

What Orange programs are installed on your PC since you have a live box?

With another browser like Internet Explorer integrated into Windows, how does YouTube display?

Are the drivers up to date, especially the graphics card driver?

Run AdwCleaner

Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

In both cases, after the scan, delete everything that is found
You will have the reports on the Desktop, post them here if you want with cjoint

Perform a disk cleanup and restart the PC

Try again in your browsers.

A+

Hello, thank you for the response,

So I am on Windows 10 Pro,
I have Avira as antivirus, I tried disabling it but it doesn't change anything.
I don't have any application from Orange...

For AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, I have already tried those as well
The drivers are all up to date (via Driver Booster 5)

It only works with Internet Explorer; neither Opera, Chrome, nor Firefox (latest version) work.

Also performed disk cleanup...

That's it :/
Thank you

Use Windows Defender as an antivirus to see

Disabling Avira may not be enough, uninstall it

Is Adobe Flash Player up to date?

Adobe Flash Player here

You should check the network, make sure you are on a private network (go to Settings → Network and Internet)
No airplane mode
No proxy → make sure it’s set to automatic
And nothing under → manual proxy configuration

You can even reset the network adapter at the bottom of the page

P.S.: I don't know when I will be able to reply, I have a network problem (a technician is supposed to come by the end of next week, I can only stay for 1 or 2 minutes at most on the forum, I have informed a moderator) just like in this image

A+

Hello, thanks again

PS: I haven't done any recent installation... it just happened overnight...

So I removed Avira (uninstalled)
No proxy configured...

Between my PC and my Livebox, I have a switch (HP ProCurve 2810 24G) I restarted them just in case... Otherwise, I have a Raspberry Pi and a Linux server (Ubuntu Server) and it works well on both... The problem is definitely with the machine itself...

The Flash Player is indeed up to date...

PS, I’m finishing my 3rd year of study in computer science/networking, so you can use complex terms (just specifying x) )

Good luck with the technician x)
Thanks A+

Hello,

Is Windows 10 up to date?

A system restore has been tested.

An update at the origin? → the driver that installs, I think it's the network card
See if you can roll back to the previous version in the device manager.

Try uninstalling the latest one.

P.S.: Thanks for the technician, like you I'm temporarily in a mess, let's hope

Talk later

Re !!

After searching for a while ..

I wanted to analyze what was happening on my network card, the requests.
And then I realized that as soon as a YouTube request was sent, it was followed by s.ytimg.com

I did some research on the internet regarding s.ytimg.com. Some people mentioned the hosts file. So I went to take a look and I found a line that had been added:
74.125.162.39 static.cache.l.google.com s.ytimg.com

I deleted it and since then it works again ...

Some forums mention adding it (I find it strange but oh well)

So for some of you, if this happens, you need to:

Edit the file "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts"
At the end of the file, add or remove the line: 74.125.162.39 static.cache.l.google.com s.ytimg.com
Restart the browser

That's it, thanks to you Pistouri! :p

Hello,

Great! It makes me think as if you were under a proxy, so we needed to check the manual proxy configuration, apparently it was fine, you didn't have any extra line
Strange that AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or the antivirus didn't detect it.

I will look later for →s.ytimg.com

Don't forget to create a restore point now or to make a disk image of the system.

Good luck and continued success in your studies in computer science/networking (it will help a lot in your case)
Have a nice day.
