Homepage display issue on YouTube with or without an account Solved

Question

Hello, My YouTube homepage no longer displays videos as it used to. Now they appear large on my page and there are no more thematic sections.  Before:     Now:    Note that when I'm logged into my YouTube account, I have this problem (image 2) but not when I'm logged out (image 1). So I assume it has something to do with my account settings, but I can't find any solutions. I would like to return to a homepage like the first example, but I don't understand how to do it. Hello,  For me, the display is the same with or without my account.  Start by clearing the Google Chrome cache. Tutorial here  I would suggest checking the zoom, but we can't see the small dots located at the top right that allow you to control and customize Google Chrome in your screenshots. It's possible that you didn't capture the menu.   You could reset Google Chrome and clean up at the same time with ResetBrowser  Or simply restore the default settings. Since we can't see the settings menu, delete everything in the address bar (URL) and do a copy/paste → chrome://settings/resetProfileSettings?origin=userclick Click on → Reset settings   Check if Chrome is up to date. Delete everything in the address bar (URL) Do a copy/paste → chrome://settings/help   Also check in the advanced settings for the connection to Chrome Disable the box → Allow Chrome connection   A+

Thank you for your response. I tried all the options you suggested but nothing worked. I tried with another browser but it's still the same, as soon as I log into my YouTube account, the display changes. I'm looking in the YouTube settings but I haven't found anything. If you have any other solutions, I’m all ears; otherwise, thank you for your help.

→  I've tried with another browser but still the same thing   Similar issue.   What version of Windows do you have?   What antivirus are you using?   Is your graphics card driver up to date?  To find out, run a detection with My Drivers.  Check the certified drivers box, confirm it all and see if you have a more recent graphics driver.   Disable Dark mode or your theme to check. Disable hardware acceleration test  Go to the three dots located at the top right, then Settings Scroll to the bottom of the page to Advanced settings Scroll to the section System (at the very bottom of the page) Uncheck → Use hardware acceleration when available  A+ -- pistouri

Thank you once again, but it's still not working. I have Windows 10 and McAfee as antivirus. I really think it's a matter of settings in my YouTube account or something like that because it only happens when I'm logged into my account... I can't resolve the issue.

Hello,  I've been having this issue for the past day or two as well. I've tried everything: modifying my settings (on YouTube and Google accounts), changing browsers, etc.  The only way to get YouTube back to how it was before is to log out of my account, but doing that means losing all my subscriptions, which is "slightly" problematic ^^  The only thing that has changed recently for me is three Windows updates regarding the Intel microcode...  PS: I'm using Chrome and Opera, if that helps, even though it seems more like a Google account issue since the problem only occurs when I'm logged into that account :D

Hello,  -Remove the Adblock extension if present, regardless of the browser. Test on YouTube  Or update Adblock filters. Adblock => Options => Filter lists => Update now  -Replace the ad blocker with Ublock. Conduct a test.  -Restore the old YouTube layout directly from your extension with YouTube Classic How to use YouTube Classic: Click on the extension icon to switch to an old YouTube design and vice versa. The status of the YouTube Classic icon indicates your current Design version OLD or NEW.  -Uninstall the latest driver update. Check the Windows Update history. Driver section.  Or Device Manager Roll back to the previous driver version.  -System restore.  A+   -- scalpel

No other solutions to propose, my display is the same whether I am logged in or not on YouTube.  If this occurred following a Windows update, uninstall it to check.  If this happens on all browsers and it happened suddenly, a new graphics driver has been installed (or another driver but I can't see which one at the graphics level). The only way to check is to uninstall it via the device manager, turn off the PC, then restart it. A generic driver will take over, then check on the manufacturer's site for a more recent version.  Update the browser. For example, Firefox had an update just yesterday.  System restoration can help if everything was fine before.  See you later  -- pistouri

Hello,  -Test with a search engine other than Google by default.   Add one of your choice that is not listed. DuckDuckGo Ecosia StartPage  - Use a Google account (Gmail for example, which is my case) on YouTube.  -- hacks

I have exactly the same problem for a little week, it only comes from our YouTube account because it happens to me on several machines. I only get my display back when I log out of YouTube (not convenient for the future).

Hello,  After Violentmonkey was suggested, I wondered if there was a problem with the page scripts, so I right-clicked and selected "inspect".  Could it be possible that one of these errors is causing the issue?    If so, would it be possible to create a Violentmonkey script for the current Youtube to see if that makes any difference? Hello,  Personally, I’m giving up on the idea of fixing this problem; the only "solution" I’ve found is to create a secondary email address to log into YouTube and resubscribe to all the channels we like (hoping that this problem doesn’t come back) ...  Have a nice day.
