Call log no longer displayed
Solved
Hello,
for the past two days, all my calls (outgoing, incoming, or missed) no longer appear in the call log of my iPhone 6
Do you know how to reactivate it, please?
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Macintosh / Safari 11.0.3

ModeratorHello gregoops,
First, make sure that you have the latest software version of your iPhone system. Then, proceed to restart it.
If the issue is still not resolved, you will need to restore your iPhone using iTunes and set it up again from a backup.
Open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone right after. Then click on the icon representing your device at the top left.
In the Backups section, select This computer and check Encrypt iPhone backup, then set a password for this backup (do not lose it as this will make the data unrecoverable).
Then click on Back Up Now.
Check that the backup has indeed taken place by verifying the date and time of the last backups.
Again in the Backups section, click on Restore Backup. Select the backup you just made, click on Restore and enter the password.
Please wait until the synchronization is complete to disconnect your iPhone.

Hello, I have a somewhat similar problem. My iPhone 6s regularly deletes my call log, and it just happened again. I followed the recommendations above to the letter, but in my case, it didn't work, including backing up and then restoring the backup—I didn't recover anything, and the log is still empty.
Do you happen to know if this could be due to an issue with this model of phone (I've never had this problem with my other iPhones) or could it be related to the carrier? It's apparently too late for me to recover the data this time, but I would really like to find a solution so that this doesn't happen again. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance. -
For Apple, this problem does not exist: you won't find any method to fix this malfunction anywhere.
What are we being offered? Turning the phone off and on again (which is common), removing and reinserting the SIM card, downloading the latest version of iOS (something many customers do), backing up and restoring a list that will magically reappear. It's ineffective: as they say, it's like putting a band-aid on a wooden leg.
This is not a recent problem: users have been complaining for years, across several models.
There must be an explanation and solutions:
- If it's a bad setting, we provide the solution.
- If it's a hardware failure, we replace the phone.
- If it's a hidden defect (design flaw or software bug), we acknowledge it and fix it. They certainly have competent developers at Apple. -
