Hello,
How do I update with Windows 10 and the TYROS 1 connected via USB cable? The two devices don’t recognize each other and Windows 10 doesn’t indicate "new device connected"!
Thank you in advance for your advice!

Hello,
Why is this option disabled? → Windows Update must detect your new device or devices in order to
install the driver (it's like when you plug in a new USB stick...). That's the logic of Windows.
Reactivate this optionn:
Try to restore automatic driver installation like this:
Right-click on the This PC icon (it's on the Desktop) → click on Properties
Then click on the line → Advanced system settings
Go to the tab → Hardware
Click on → Device installation settings
Check the box → Yes (Recommended)
Click on → Save changes
Afterwards → Shut down your PC or restart if requested.
Wait 5 minutes when the Desktop appears (so that all processes are properly launched).
Plug in your USB cable (TYROS 1)
It should be detected, a message in a small window (installing the driver)
→ duration: 1 to 2 or even 3 minutes
If there's a problem
- restart Windows Update
-- change the USB port (consider using a HUB) if needed
- in any case, you should shut down and restart your PC (plug your device into a USB port)
If needed, right-click on the Start button → Device Manager
- if you see it → update the device
Windows Update will take care of the rest.
-If you don’t see it → install the driver using the procedure from baladur13 that you have already downloaded or saved.
Ps → I salute Baladur13 by the way.
See you later.
Windows Update is configured to never install drivers, and I don't know how to change it.

Hello baladur13 and THANK YOU for your advice!
I read everything and tried, but unfortunately, I was not successful!
Windows Update is set to never install drivers and I don't know how to change that.
Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver error
No device is connected (I changed the cable, both work on the printer)
Do you also have an answer for the second TYROS1 which only works on USER now?
Best regards
Seppeli

Dear baladur13. Thank you for your response and for admitting that you don't know the device! It's a good experience for learning and a testament to today's youth. I apologize, I don't know your age, but I am 72 years old and I don't know how to use the computer, and I never learned it in school! It is therefore important in all areas to first gain experience and work with the thing in order to give advice! What you can surely tell me is how I, as an administrator, can allow my computer to install a driver!
Thank you in advance for your response, and when I find a way to fix the issue, I will make sure to write to you.
See you soon

As for my age... I've passed the three-quarter century mark.
I don't quite understand what your issue is with the drivers... but when you have a downloaded file, by right-clicking on the said file in the window that opens, you can read "Run as administrator."
Moreover, when installing drivers, the device should not be connected to the PC.
If that's not the solution, I will contact a member more skilled than I am to see if they can help you.

Hello baladur13. Thank you for your response. In summary, you probably experienced, like me, the IBM era with punch cards. I, on the other hand, was a skipper at sea for 22 years and I have only evolved in terms of navigation instruments as a captain, but not for the internet. What you recommend, I know, but it's not working. At first, it was easier to load the program with the two YAMAHA CDs, but now it needs to be downloaded, and to find what we need, we have to search for weeks in a haystack! If you could already ask for help to explain the right way regarding the drivers and also unlock the closure of the USB cable between the computer and the TYROS.
Thank you in advance, dear baladur13, I wish you a good day

The two Yamaha CDs might need to be installed using the compatibility tool from Microsoft
