Hello, I have a little problem and I can't find a solution. I downloaded Movie Maker on your platform, and when I import a video, I have sound but no image, just a black screen. I changed the extension but that didn't solve my problem.. and now I'm getting desperate.. I can't find a solution online!! If anyone can help me!! Thanks in advance.

Hello,
If you are on Windows (7, 8 or 10), try installing the Windows Movie Maker 2012 version by following the instructions provided in this discussion: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-34518845-installation-de-movie-maker-sur-windows-10
WMM 2.6 only accepts AVI and WMV files by default, so your issue could also come from the fact that the necessary codecs are not present on your computer.
Best regards

Hello,
Movie Maker accepts mp4, wmv, and avi extensions; you need to click on add a video, choose from Windows Explorer, my videos; download it and it should appear.

Thank you for your response. But now, in mp4 and wmv, it doesn't recognize them. And in avi, I have sound but no image; I have a black screen! On the other hand, the version of Movie Maker I downloaded does not look the same as the official version (with the screen on the left); in this version, the screen is on the right. It doesn't say "add a video," but "import a video or photo"! However, I can view the photos.
And yes, just changing the extension is not enough to modify the characteristics of a video file; it's better to convert it with suitable software like the one you used...
