Hello,
I'm struggling... My problem is simple, I want to clean up my bookmarks and delete a number of them.
But I have 3 PCs, 1 iPad, and 1 Android smartphone, and every time I tidy up, my old deleted bookmarks magically reappear.
To try to solve the problem, I did this:
- I logged out of Chrome on all devices
- I closed Chrome on all devices
- on 1 of the devices (1 PC), I logged into Chrome and cleaned up by deleting a lot of bookmarks
- I logged back into Chrome on that device, then I triggered the "Reset sync" action on the page https://chrome.google.com/sync (to be sure)
At this stage, everything was working fine, but as soon as I relaunched Chrome and logged in on my smartphone, I was astonished to see that all the old bookmarks were back on the phone. And a few minutes later, horror!! All my deleted bookmarks had returned on the PC where I had deleted them.
Help!! I don't know what to do anymore...
Thank you for any help, I really need it :)

I finally did it !!
The thing is that when you click "reset sync," it disconnects the Google account on all devices, which is normal. Then, before reconnecting on a device, you must FIRST DELETE ALL EXISTING BOOKMARKS. As soon as you reconnect to your Google account, the bookmarks return thanks to the sync mechanism, but only the correct ones come back; those that were deleted do not return.
