It's been 3 days that Windows starts an update at any moment and at 81% my computer freezes. After a long period I shut it down. When I turn it back on, it says: recovery attempt and then it tells me reinstalling the previous version! Before I had Windows 8 (when I bought my computer) they installed Windows 10 and since then it's been chaos. What should I do?
Thank you.
Thank you.

So I might have a solution. SAFE MODE without FAIL cmd administrator mode: sfc /scannow (it only scans and repairs closed files) OTHERWISE be very careful with this other procedure so that nothing interferes with this repair and that the PC doesn't shut down under any circumstances. Once again, CMD Admin mode: chkdsk C: /F restart and keep me updated. Otherwise, after this manipulation, I have no solution other than a reset.
Otherwise, you can reinstall Windows 10 and you'll have the latest version:
Reinstall Windows 10 by formatting the disk:
Follow this tutorial that explains how to install Windows 10: how to install Windows 10.
All the steps are provided from A to Z with tips at the end for securing Windows 10.
The steps are basically:
- Download the Windows 10 installation ISO: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 (other download methods: https://www.malekal.com/download-windows-iso/ ).
- Create the installation media with Media Creation Tool
- Boot from it by changing the boot sequence and selecting the USB drive or DVD: How to boot the computer from USB
If the USB drive doesn't work, try creating another one with Rufus: how to download Rufus - see this tutorial for details: how to create a Windows installation USB drive
- Follow the prompts to install Windows 10.
- Choose custom (not upgrade)
- During the partition phase, select the main partition and format it.
- Follow the Windows installation procedure as outlined in the above tutorial.
Once Windows is installed, I recommend following these tips to properly configure and use Windows: Tips after reinstalling Windows.
I invite you to create a system image now that you have a stable Windows.
=> How to create a Windows system image
This system image can be restored at any time, including Windows, updates, and installed programs.
Very useful for easily restoring Windows when everything crashes.
So if you need to reinstall Windows, you can restore your image, which saves you from having to reapply all the tedious updates, reinstall software applications, and applications.
