After W10 update - Error msedge.exe not found??

Hello,
following the update this weekend, I get an error message every time I open the PC and every time I open settings, etc... It can't find msedge.exe.
But I don't care about the EDGE browser, because for years it has been "disabled" (since I can't delete it) and I use Chrome
So I went
- to applications
- msedge "repair"
- it downloaded Edge again..
okay, but once the PC is turned off and on again, it gives me its error message "Windows cannot find, ....... msedge.exe" even though I'm not asking for anything and never use this thing!
Any ideas on how to remove this message that just appeared since this weekend (last W10 update)?

Well, hang on... :-)
3 times: uninstalled, removed the directories, ran Ccleaner, down pc, etc....
> then 3 times installed edge via the MS link
> it even installs the icon on the desktop, ok! BUT! MESSAGE NOT FOUND.....
> I go find the file (which is there!)
> I copy and paste it everywhere in 3 different places of /EDGxxx
same as before, MESSAGE NOT FOUND..... :-(
Then I think to myself, if it doesn't see the file that is there, it's because there is another problem.
I manually add the .EXE extension to the file that the installer created and
MIRACLE edge works!!.
(then I quickly go to startup to disable it, etc... because I don't care about this crap)
There you go, just a thought...
Thanks for your ideas everyone. :-)
Hello.
Have you checked that the msedge.exe program is indeed present in the directory given in the error message?
On my PC (Win10), the same executable is present in three directories: (hello to intelligent program management!)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeCore\117.0.2045.31
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\117.0.2045.31
Rather than a repair, do a complete reinstall from the site:

Hello,
In principle, it’s enough to prevent Edge from starting automatically with Windows.
Don't forget while you're at it to set the 3 Edge services in services.msc to manual.

Apparently, your Windows has some issues...
Open a powershell window (admin) and enter the command:
DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /RESTOREHEALTH then press enter.
For this command, you need to be connected to the internet.
Without closing the window, copy the command:
SFC /SCANNOW then press enter.
