Hello,
In a previous post, I complained about being unable to open my COMPTA PRATIC 2015 software - accounting and quotes, invoices on my PC running Windows 10. After much back and forth, here is the exchange I had with EBP on Messenger:
Me: Planned obsolescence or collusion with WINDOWS: EBP COMPTA PRATIC 2015 software incompatible with Windows 10. SQL SERVER 2008 not found (ERROR 40 then error 1067 in a loop). So, EBP and Microsoft are passing the buck and leaving you stranded.
EBP: <underline>Hello Frédérique, indeed the 2015 version is not configured to work on Windows 10. I invite you to provide me with your license number. please find attached the help procedure for error 40 (SQL SERVER 2008). Have a great day. Emeline, EBP advisor.
ME: You have already provided me with the procedure for Error code 40 SQL 2008. In the recommended procedure on page 4, at the end of the "new installation", the process gets stuck in a loop after the "license agreement signature" when I click "next". At this point, that's where the EBP/Microsoft collusion kicks in... refusing to install this "damn" SQL SERVER 2008.
EBP: Try to install the SQL_server_2014_x64.exe, here is the installation procedure for it. SQL is available from the help and support section, then Tools and associated files, finally select compta classic.
I followed her advice..... it definitely doesn't work.
