Hello,

I would like to ask my question here, if someone is able to help me, as I have found no answers to my problem anywhere.

My problem is as follows:
For a few days, the keys on my Asus laptop keyboard have been completely mixed up. My keyboard is usually in Azerty, and no, it hasn't switched to Qwerty or I wouldn't be asking for help otherwise. The keys are simply jumbled up.

Let me explain:
Instead of having the line of letters " a - z - e - r - t - y - u - i - o - p "
I have
" M - nothing - m - r - t - 9 - * - i - m - nothing "

The X key has become the Enter key

And the same goes for the numeric keypad. Instead of having:
7 - 8 - 9
4 - 5 - 6
1 - 2 - 3

I have:

A beep - 8 - 9
4 - 5 - 6
, - nothing - 3

I tried to fix the problem by going through several steps:
1) Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Region and Language > Keyboards and Languages > Change Keyboards...
From there, I checked that it was the "French (France)" keyboard that was installed.

2) I then clicked on the keyboard properties in "Devices and Printers > 2.4G Keyboard Mouse > Keyboard Settings > Hardware", (here there are 2 keyboards: Keyboard Device PIH and Standard PS/2 Keyboard). I uninstalled both drivers, restarted the PC, the drivers reinstalled upon restart, then I restarted a second time for the changes to take effect.

3) Seeing that nothing was working, I ran a scan of the PC + a quick run of CCleaner...

And nothing. The problem is still there.

So if anyone knows how to resolve the problem without having to touch the keyboard (since the shift, alt, ctrl, and maj keys are no longer those keys and I have no idea where they went...)

Thank you so much to those who will try to help me, and I wish you a very happy new year.

    Everything is back to working...
Having issues with the battery and power cable, the PC shut down suddenly, so I turned it back on and the keyboard is functioning properly...
I have absolutely no idea what happened...
Should I leave the discussion open just in case it happens again or if someone needs it?

Thank you all very much for taking some of your time to help me.
