ASUS, Backlight Issue Solved

Question

Hello,

I bought an Asus PC and it has the keyboard backlighting option.

During the first startup of the PC, the keyboard was backlit, but now, even when pressing Fn+F3 or F4, it doesn't light up anymore.

Additionally, during startup in the BIOS, the keyboard lights up, but as soon as Windows starts, it turns off.

This must be an option to adjust in Windows or an Asus software.

Can someone please help me?

After contacting customer service, the solution found is: you just need to go to the Asus support website, in the download section, then fill each of the 3 boxes with: Laptop, G53J, G53J or G53JW. If the second box only gives you "undefined" as options, just click on search after filling in the laptop box. You will end up on a page where you can choose your PC’s series.
Then choose your OS and click on the "+" to open the APK section.
Download the file offered in that section via the "Global" server.

Extract the file and then install it. You will then be prompted to restart your PC, accept it.

Upon reboot, if your keyboard isn't lit up on your desktop, press Fn + F4 multiple times.

Everything should work again! :)

I don't know this type of computer, but maybe in the power settings? ... Right click on the desktop>properties>display properties>screen saver tab>power management Keep us posted.

So I had the same problem as you with the backlit keyboard of a G73. I updated the ATK via Asus support and then after a restart, I pressed and held FN + increase keyboard brightness (Fn + F4 on the G73) and when I released it, the keyboard kindly lit up... so if this can help some...

Good evening
I had the same problem, and to fix it (it may not be identical), I went to the control panel, programs and features, I found the ATK package icon, I right-clicked and then repaired it.
I regained all the functions, keyboard lighting, and performance management that I had also lost.
