Hello,
I hope I'm in the right category.
For some time now, the download speed of files from the 1fichier platform seems limited to 500Ko/s, yet when I run a speed test online, my download speed is around 40Mb/s (8Mo/s). Have the 1fichier servers become slow? Otherwise, where could the problem be coming from?
P.S.: I have an Access plan, which normally offers unlimited download speed.
Thank you for your help,

Hi,
It's not just their servers that matter.
There are also the "highways" between you and them... These highways are big pipes through which data from many different websites flows.
In technical jargon, we call this "peerings," but some operators, fearing to invest and/or spend too much (we can cite Free as the perfect example in this area), often have very small peerings that can easily become saturated.
If too many users are downloading at the same time and going through the same pipes, it gets stuck and speeds drop...
Personally, I have had no speed issues with 1fichier, either today or in the past few weeks.

Thank you for your response.
I am indeed with Free. Do you think the problem might come from my operator?
Previously, I had never encountered this type of issue.
We will have to see if the issue is permanent or not, particularly by checking if it occurs at different times of the day.
Otherwise, it's always possible to contact 1fichier and see what they say.
I will test it at different times.
