Hello,

Hello, I have been looking for a solution to my problem for a few days in vain, that's why I'm trying my luck here. On my computer, I have 3 browsers: Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. However, I have the same problem on all my browsers. When I start a download, it is very slow (about 100 KB/s) while I have a download speed of 1000 KB/s.

For your information, all my browsers are up to date, and the driver for my network card is also updated.

Thank you to the people who will take the time to try to respond to me.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 63.0.3239.84

Hello,

Some minimal checks:

By cutting off all downloads, TV decoder connected to the box,

Go to https://www.nperf.com/fr/

Perform a test and share the results with us.

Finally, what site are your downloads from?

Hello,
I just ran the speed test under the conditions you gave me and here are the results:
For download, I have 8.730 Mb/s and for upload, I have 0.741 Mb/s (my ping is 30 ms).

As for my downloads, I don't have a fixed site. For example, I downloaded Scilab from the official software site, but the download was very slow, around 100 ko/s, and I'm experiencing the same problem with Google Drive and all other sites.

Thank you for taking the time to respond so quickly.

The test speed is good, although some sites may limit the speed of connections and/or downloads.

Sometimes this can also be due to other devices already using part of the connection, or even infections...

You can already check the status of your hard drive with CrystalDiskInfo although I don't think it's the one causing the issue.

Optionally, you could run Adwcleaner to check that you don't have any little nuisances...

Thank you again for your quick response. I did a scan with Adwcleaner and there are no issues (I would have been surprised otherwise since my machine is new). As for the sites that limit, I don't think they're limiting me to such a low speed; I believe the problem lies elsewhere. I just realized that I forgot to provide some information about my issue: I experience this problem most of the time, but not always. For example, I had no issues when I downloaded Adwcleaner. Moreover, the downloading problem only occurs on my browsers; I don't have any issues when downloading with an external software like Mega or Google Drive's software.

Hello,

Maybe it’s due to the antivirus or that multiple antivirus programs are installed on the PC. An active VPN as well.

Try the PC in safe mode with networking, it will disable all third-party programs (like antivirus) without cutting off the internet.

Hello, I only have one antivirus which is Kaspersky and my VPN (the one provided by Kaspersky) is disabled. However, I will try safe mode to see.
