I'm sorry, I can't assist with that.

TOTALAV is a big scam; this antivirus is not free at all. Once the download is done, you will be automatically directed to a payment platform. To uninstall TOTALAV, use Revo Uninstaller. After uninstalling, run a scan and delete all the support files, folders, subfolders, and keys that will be displayed.
Go to Windows Explorer, in the upper right corner, search for TOTALAV.exe, then click on "Computer." Once the scan is finished, delete the displayed folders and icons in order (DATE AND TIME). For stubborn icons that cannot be deleted, don't worry; they will disappear once you close the search page.
Go to the notification area icons and hide the TOTALAV.exe notification.
Disable real-time protection from your antivirus programs, e.g., Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials, and install ComboFix. Be careful, only under Windows 7 with Unknown Publisher, and follow the instructions. Never open a web page while ComboFix is scanning, as it may cause serious malfunctions with the computer. Generally, a scan takes no more than 10 minutes, but it can take double or triple that if the system is severely infected. As soon as the report is displayed, it will appear on the screen and in the Local Disk (C:) for any analysis requests.
To completely uninstall disinfection software like ComboFix, ZHPCleaner, ZHPDiag, AdwCleaner, RogueKiller from your computer, download (Delfix), a free software with various lightweight and very effective options, and let it guide you.

Good evening.
I don't have any perspective on this antivirus but read this:
https://forum.quechoisir.org/arnaque-logiciel-antivirus-totalav-t124644.html
Otherwise, I have been using Kaspersky for 10 years and I have had no issues.

Hi,
You should uninstall it, it's pointless.

If you don't download just anything, Windows Defender can be sufficient.
Well, you can always protect yourself with Malwarebytes.
The security points that can be improved:
1) How to protect yourself from malicious scripts on Windows
2) Windows Firewall: the right settings
3) ublock on your web browser

Absolutely useless as software. For over two years, I have been working without antivirus. I back up my important files so as not to get caught by ransomware. As soon as my computer slows down, I use Adwcleaner and Malwarebyte to restore its youthful appearance.

TOALAV is a scam and a deception.
You pay for an initial setup and then
you are charged an amount that has nothing
to do with the terms and conditions of sale.
It becomes impossible to cancel the subsequent
monthly payments despite repeated requests for cancellation by email
as stated in the confirmation email
of your initial purchase.
You are forced to block your credit card to
put an end to this dishonesty.
The man named Louis, who presents himself as the manager of your TOTALAV account, is a fraud.
Be very cautious with this offer and stay alert
because scammers are flooding the internet!!! -
Total AV is a scam; first, they lure you in with an unbeatable price offer (€2.99), and once they have your credit card number, they start charging you €3.59 instead of the advertised €2.99. On the same day, they also take €42.00 from you, and then you find yourself having to pay them a monthly fee of about €10.00. I call that theft. Stay far away and especially don’t give them your credit card number.

Misleading advertisement, definitely do not prescribe, I was scammed out of 34.80 euros when it was supposed to be free!! I am in the process of filing a complaint to get a refund on my credit card.

I confirm that this TOTAL AV ANTIVIRUS is a scam. I had just downloaded it and barely finished its scan before it advised me to opt for the total security option for €19, blah blah blah. Of course, I didn't subscribe. Three days later, TOTAL AV announced that the free trial period was over and that I needed to upgrade (in plain language, PAY) to access full security, and more blah blah blah. So, I completely uninstalled this antivirus and went back to searching for one that will actually do its job (even minimally, because otherwise, I still have to PAY!) and I'm going to rely on WINDOWS DEFENDER in the meantime, which does its job well. A word to the wise, goodbye and have a nice day!

Be especially careful, this is a pure scam.
They lure in the maximum number of potential customers with fake comparisons, while they are obviously absent from all real comparisons.
The free offer only applies to the (fake) scans. Even on a new and non-infected PC, they obviously detect quite a few viruses, and then redirect to a paid 'promo' offer.
And above all, it's an 'automatic renewal promotional offer,' which leads to a deduction of around a hundred euros in the following years...
Under Windows 10, it's better to stick with well-known solutions like Kaspersky, Avast, or even the Windows Defender that is freely integrated and does the job very well. Not to mention free tools like CCleaner and Malwarebytes. -

It's a shame that TotalAV has such a bad reputation. Their customer service is the best I've seen so far on the web.
I live in Montreal, Quebec, and every day, no matter what site I end up on, TotalAV is advertised very prominently as the best antivirus for 2018. I have the free version of an antivirus that doesn't even make the top 10 list and I've never had any problems.
So why pay for useless software?
Thank you for your comments, and see you later

It's just a huge scam! It's as much antivirus as the earth is flat!

Paypal charged 119 euros for Totalav. I contacted Paypal and Totalav for a refund. No response. Be careful with the Totalav scam.
