Hello,

I am facing a problem. I would like to set up a dual screen. I have a motherboard and a graphics card. On my motherboard, I have 1 VGA port, 1 HDMI, and 1 DVI. On my graphics card, I have 2 HDMI ports and 2 DVI ports. I have one screen connected directly via DVI to my graphics card, but I would like to connect my VGA screen to my motherboard. I heard that my graphics card is prioritized over my motherboard and that I need to enable the VGA port on my motherboard in the BIOS. However, I cannot find the option to enable it in the BIOS..

BIOS version: MSI Click BIOS 5
Motherboard: MSI B350 GAMING PLUS
Windows 10.

I'm here if you have any further questions...

Best regards

Could it be you who has already asked the same question under another pseudonym?

Indeed! I am currently on my work computer and I couldn't find my previous request to ask the question ^^!
So I have read what you replied to me. Before posting the request, I ordered a VGA to HDMI adapter, I will receive the adapter tomorrow but since I plan to connect other screens in the future, I would still like to know how to activate that famous VGA port...

Hi

Why are you reposting when we explained to you that you cannot have both the main card and the additional card active at the same time??

" ordered a VGA to HDMI adapter"

I assume that's a typo. Otherwise, you probably need an HDMI to VGA adapter. Moreover, since your GPU has 2 DVI ports, there may be one that is DVI-I. Therefore, a DVI to VGA adapter would have been preferable, as HDMI/VGA adapters often cause issues.
