Hello, I would like to know how to connect multiple internal SATA hard drives. I am using an Acer x3910, and on its motherboard, there is only the possibility to connect 2 eSATA cables, one for the CD-DVD drive and the other for an internal SATA hard drive (the one I purchased).

  It's not a big deal, thank you for your quick response, but as I said, at the location of my PCI there is already my Nvidia graphics card and this PC only has one PCI slot :(

If you have a PC with a 775 socket motherboard, your Acer is an antique and the hardware is outdated, not designed to support a ton of peripherals because even the power supply can't handle it and the PC will malfunction.

It seems to me that all motherboards with socket 1155 have 4 SATA ports, and socket 1150 motherboards do too.

If you do not know the difference between a motherboard with a 775 socket and a motherboard with a 1155 or 1150 socket, you cannot know how many SATA ports there are on these motherboards.
One does not build a PC with a motherboard that has 2 SATA ports and put 4 slots for hard drives.

  Laptop hardware? I don't think laptops have that socket but then again... after all, they did make laptops with Pentium 4 in socket 478 (impressive fans on that kind of machine...)

This Acer x3910 PC is not a laptop but a mini tower.
And this kind of PC is not upgradeable.

  Oh well, that's what I'm trying to explain... But the line between a mini tower and a portable is often very thin...

  thank you, I know what I have left to do now: buy a motherboard (ATX and not MICRO ATX), a processor, a case, etc., and assemble my PC myself ;)

A piece of advice: buy a "real" PC.. These things are very good for surfing for two hours a day, typing your emails and that's it....

  And windows.. there are ways to get it cheaper...
  
  And it may not be nice but these machines aren't upgradeable and on top of that, expensive for what they are...

Hello,
To connect an additional hard drive, you will need to unplug the DVD drive or buy a SATA controller card (but that's quite expensive...)

  Thank you very much for this quick response. Otherwise, do you know of a good and powerful motherboard where I could put a decent and inexpensive processor with several eSATA ports included without having to use a SATA controller card?
  Because the Acer x3910 only has one PCI port, which already has my video card on it, making it impossible to add a SATA controller card unless there exists a kind of PCI port splitter (which I would be very surprised about :) ?

  I don't think there's a 'PCI power strip'.
  To help you find a new CPU/motherboard combo, you should indicate your budget and what you plan to use it for.
