Hello,
Despite the manual, I can't understand why the answering machine isn't working: a light is flashing to indicate a new message, and when I check the voicemail, the voice tells me there are no messages, that the answering machine is activated... etc. In fact, the person who calls me cannot leave a message, the ringing is endless and the answering machine does not activate. I've consulted the manual for Gigaset A420 and A420A, it mentions the answering machine but only for the A420A base, and I see nothing for the Gigaset A420 that I have. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

Hello,
The Gigaset A420 is a cordless phone without a built-in answering machine.
It cannot record any messages as a result.
However, your telephone operator has the ability to record your messages in their voicemail.
It must be in service, though.
Who is your operator?
--It is very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it is not there...
