Canon MP540 printer and Windows 10 Solved

Question

Hello everyone So, I have a MP540 that worked very well with Windows 8, ever since I switched to 10, I can no longer scan; it shows printer not connected. However, I can print from my PC via the printer. If someone could tell me what's going on, I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance Best regards Tapis G

Hello;  Have you tried using the Scan / Fax function included in Windows 10? To do this, type "Fax and Scan" in the search bar at the bottom left and click at the top to open this function, then click on the "New Scan" tab and I think you should be able to use this feature if the printer is recognized see screenshot below   Looking forward to your feedback but if none >> Resolved   -- Sincerely Aging well: It's preferring the time that remains to the time that passes

Hello, yes I've already done that, and the answer is always the same, check if the printer is properly connected, (no printer detected).

Hello;  Did you go directly from Windows 8 to 10 without doing anything to the printer? Is the model of this printer MP 540 Series or MP 540 Pixma?  Regards Aging well: It's to prefer the time that remains over the time that passes

Hello;  On the Canon site >> Here it seems that there is no driver available for Windows 10  You can possibly try to do as indicated below (but for MP540 Series but ..)  In principle, Windows 10 recognizes this printer >> You need to go to the control panel >> Devices and Printers >> Add printer >> Trigger Windows Update and wait for the search to finish, and in the window that will open, you have Canon on the left and you scroll the mouse cursor until you find MP540 Series >> Next etc... However, if you have already tried to install this printer before, I advise you to uninstall what has been downloaded   A+     -- Best regards Aging well: It's preferring the time that remains to the time that passes
