Lock icon on iPhone home screen at the top right

Hello,

I have a lock icon on the homepage of my iPhone at the top right. How do I remove it and what does this lock icon correspond to?

Hello,

The lock icon surrounded by an arrow is actually an indication that the screen orientation is locked. This means that when you want to put the iPhone in landscape mode, it won't work.

Solution:

iOS 6: Double-click the home button to bring up multitasking. Swipe left to right and click on the lock icon.

iOS 7: Swipe up quickly from the bottom to display the control center and then click on the lock icon. 

After finding a solution, remember to mark it as RESOLVED.

The article is outdated because today we are on iOS 9 but the logic is certainly the same.

Sorry? iOS 9 today? We’re more at 11, yes...
