Projector, no sound

Hello,

I have a projector connected to my PC.
I was previously using a VGA cable with an HDMI adapter to connect it to the PC. Everything was working perfectly (image and sound)

I bought an HDMI cable to connect the PC and projector directly, and now... I have the image but no sound. How come?

My speakers are connected to my PC. I tried connecting them directly to the projector, but that doesn't work either.

    Hello, I think you need to go into your PC's sound settings to direct the audio output to the devices; that's all I see is "mixer" and "playback device."
    Right-click on the audio icon at the bottom right of the taskbar.
