Hello,
I'm trying to reinstall macOS Sierra on my iMac, and when I reach the page where there are 4 choices (and I have already checked with the utility and none of the components of the computer are damaged), I choose the option Reinstall macOS, click continue, and a window appears mentioning that Apple needs to verify the eligibility of my computer. I click Continue and nothing happens...
What is the problem?
Thank you.
Configuration: iPad / Safari 11.0

Hello, it's an iMac 2010, WQ0434VTDAS.
I need to reinstall Sierra (the original system). I just spoke with an Apple assistant, and together we did a restart with CMD+alt+R, but it didn't work. The computer executed a data recovery for about 15 minutes and then froze with a white screen and the gray apple.
According to the assistant, I need to bring my computer to the technician at $80 an hour...

You launch the Disk Utility/select the hard drive (HD) and click on First Aid, what happens?
I hope your Internet connection is wired (Ethernet) and good?
If First Aid doesn't find any "irreparable" problems, you can then try to restart "Reinstall Mac OS"
On the other hand, if First Aid detects a problem and you haven't created a reinstallation USB key, then yes => customer service or a friend who was more foresighted than you and has a USB key with Sierra ;-)
