Hello,
I bought a 5.1 pack and a home theater amplifier with a pre-out output. I had to buy a new RCA cable (10m) for €5 because the one provided with the 5.1 pack (5m) was too short for my setup.
However, I now have a very loud noise (that "hhhmmmmmmm" ground noise) that I didn't have with the supplied cable. I imagine my 10m cable is the cause.
I’m thinking of buying another one, but this time I would like to purchase a cable that won’t cause this problem. What particular feature should I look for? Should I buy a "Subwoofer RCA cable" for €30? Or is it another type of cable that I need?
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 56.0

Hello,
You especially need a quality cable (special sub or not) with good insulating sheathing, but before buying, try covering the one you have with aluminum foil connected to the ground

Thank you for the advice.
It might work with a 3m cable, but doing that over 10m seems complicated: a lot of aluminum to use, more chances of getting it wrong over the length (at the level of the "junctions of aluminum sheets") and not very aesthetically pleasing when the cable has to go through the apartment along the baseboards. :)
