Install MP620B printer on Windows 10 compatibility mode

Hello,

I tried to install a printer (Canon MP620B) on my Asus running Windows 10. I saw on the Canon website that for this model, there are no drivers available for Windows 10, but that I could download the Windows 8 driver and run it in compatibility mode, and that the printer could still work.
I tried many times without success, but the printer is not detected. I then tried checking the "choose port" box and manually added all the different ports I could. The printer appears in the Windows Printers menu (then "Copy 1, 2..." for each port added), but when I click "Manage" I see that it is "Inactive".
I also tried several times to install "Mini Master Setup" (2 drivers available on the Canon website), again in compatibility mode, and with the 3 possible modes: "USB connection / first-time connection / the printer is already connected to the network", but each time "the printer was not detected". I saw on forums that I should only power on and connect the printer when the installation message requests it, which I did, still without success. I tried restarting the computer and the printer with each installation.
I also tried through the device manager to enable/disable the driver, to update it automatically/manually...

I connected a network cable from the printer to the router, and a USB cable between the printer and the computer, but I only have a "standard" USB/USB cable that I plug in the front, while the Canon connection animation shows that it needs to be plugged in the back (with a USB/?? cable that I don't have).

Do you have any advice? It would be a shame not to use it just because Canon is practicing planned obsolescence :)
Thank you very much in advance

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 61.0.3163.100

Sure!
After hours of trying, I managed to print!
Actually, I needed two cables that I didn't have: instead of a standard USB/USB cable, I needed a "square" USB/USB standard cable, and I had to connect the network cable to the computer and not to the box (so I had the adapter, luckily)
By launching the "MP620 series Mini Master Setup" program, the printer is detected and I can print wired.
However, I can't print via Wi-Fi, I tried but couldn't set the port correctly, since it doesn't work... It doesn't detect my internet network, but by activating my phone's internet it works, but that's not enough.
Anyway, if you have any advice so that I can print (and scan) via Wi-Fi, I'd appreciate it! Otherwise, I'll manage with the cable, that's already better than nothing
Thanks in advance!
