Hello,
I dropped my phone in the toilet yesterday at school and at the moment my screen bugged so I couldn't turn it off, which means my battery completely drained knowing that the battery was already damaged. That evening, I put it in rice until the next day, but when I got home my mom had taken my iPhone out of the rice bag wanting to "use" the rice for cooking. So I tried to charge my phone to see if it worked, but after 3 hours it still wouldn't turn on, so now I don't know what to do. I'm going to see what happens tomorrow, but if you could reply to me so I know what to do because I don't want to tell my parents that I broke it or at least dropped it in water.
Configuration: Linux / Firefox 52.0

Hello,
An iPhone that has been exposed to water should be turned off immediately, and then the battery should be disconnected. Next, start the desalinization process..
Rice is useless.. However, putting a phone that fell into the toilet into rice and then preparing that rice to eat later.. Yummy! xD
The best thing in your case is to consult a professional for data recovery if you wish, because a phone that has been exposed to water and is not treated immediately is a ticking time bomb.. You can probably turn it back on, but it will stop functioning shortly after.. The important thing is to recover the data and then get a new phone.
