Missing Files Windows 10

Hello!
I need help very quickly :)
We wanted to transfer videos (from a tablet and then a camera) to a computer. After copying everything, we checked that all the videos were in the "Videos" folder and then turned off the computer. When we turned it back on, clicking on the "Videos" folder, everything had disappeared. Of course, we searched everywhere on the computer, but they don't seem to be there anymore. We then wanted to copy music from a phone to the computer, everything worked well, then the same adventure: the computer was turned off and then on again, and the music was gone.
We've been constantly searching since yesterday for a way to recover the videos that disappeared right after being transferred. We downloaded the Recuva software, but we haven't found anything. There's a significant issue: the computer is brand new, running Windows 10 since the beginning, and file history has never been activated... Thus, it is impossible to restore previous versions of the "Videos" folder or restore the system since we didn't create any restore points...

While searching through forums, I understood that it is a specialty of Windows 10 to "swallow" files as soon as the computer is shut down ;D? We really need help very very quickly because the videos (about thirty, filmed over several days in Spain) were meant to make a film that we need to present next Saturday... So we need to find the videos again, then edit everything... Thank you in advance!

Re,
  • Press Windows+R then explorer.exe
  • Go to Options then to the View tab
  • Check Show hidden files, folders, and drives
  • Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (recommended)

Try opening my computer, double-click on your hard drive, you will notice a field at the top right corner where you can type the name of the file to search for.
For example: to search for all video files that have the AVI extension, you need to type an asterisk followed by a dot and then the file format extension you are looking for, like:
  • .AVI
  • .MPG
  • .MKV
  • .DIVX

If that still doesn't work, try performing a search with a data recovery tool to find deleted files:
