Good evening everyone,
Here, I have a little trouble with my Canon MG550 printer. No more way to scan from the printer, a message appears "Please configure the PC to start scanning"
The printer only offers to scan in "Local USB" (I don't even remember where the cable is)
There are no issues with printing, that works fine and the scanning was functioning just two weeks ago.
PS: I changed my router a few days ago and reconfigured the wireless network settings from the printer.
And I am on Windows 10, which is up to date.
So, having not found the solution on my own, I am seeking your help.
Thank you very much, see you soon.

Hello,
A solution a bit late! I faced the same problem with a Canon MX925 working on Wi-Fi under Windows 10. I think I found the solution.
The printer's scanner "sees" the computer only if IJ Network Scanner Selector EX has started; there should be an icon in the hidden icons area of the taskbar. If it's not there, just run cnmnstt.exe from the Windows Start menu. In the window that opens, the printer should appear. Close the window; the process icon should now be present in the hidden icons of the taskbar and you can scan from the printer.
Lastly, make sure the process starts correctly when Windows starts, otherwise the problem will reappear every time Windows restarts. Just go to Task Manager (right-click on the taskbar), Startup tab. Check that the status of IJ Network Scanner Selector EX is "enabled."
That's it!
