Hello,
I have an Acer Aspire Switch 11 SW5-111-11DC. I reinstalled Windows 10 Home 32-bit using Microsoft's tool.
The installation went very well, Windows is activated, so no worries.
However, I have a problem with the "SOUND (speaker and microphone)", impossible to get it to work. The small speaker icon on the taskbar has a red cross.
I went to the Acer website to download the Realtek driver for my version of Windows, the installation seems to go well, I restart the PC as requested, but still nothing.
In the device manager, I do not see a "sound" driver installed and there are two devices without drivers, which would correspond to the speaker and microphone I think.
I tried updating the driver by right-clicking on the device in the device manager, but it doesn’t work. And through Windows Update, same, nothing.
And another problem, the screen is no longer touch-sensitive. However, in the device manager, the driver appears without issue.
So, if you have any tips, I’m open to suggestions because I’m running in circles here...
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: AMD FX8350, 8GB Kingston, XFX R9 290

Hello.
I solved my problem by reinstalling Windows 8, now there are no more driver issues.
However, what remains strange is that the drivers provided by Acer for this PC for W10 do not work, whereas before I reinstalled it had upgraded from W8 to W10 and everything was working normally.
Anyway, I prefer it with W8 in tablet mode.

Hello,
You could install Driver Booster for your sound issue, but regarding the touchscreen, it comes from the edition of Windows you installed, which must be incompatible. Microsoft points this out, as each edition of Windows differs depending on the PC. Here, it seems that you are using a hybrid tablet or a PC with a touchscreen, and the versions are not the same.
Best regards
