VHS to DVD transfer honestech 3.0 black and white

Hello,
I need your guidance. I have a "Philips DVD755VR,
DVD VIDEO/VCR COMBI" VCR, and I purchased the Honestech 3.0 video capture software. I can get images and sound, but I can't get any color. I've checked the software settings for capture options (PAL, SECAM, etc.), but nothing works. What else should I try?

Thank you for your quick response. I will check the suggested websites to see if I can find a solution. Regarding Dazzle, I do have one that I acquired in 2007, but it only works on W XP, and apparently there are no updates available.
