Record VHS on PC with EasyCap on Win10

Question

Hello, I am posting this message because I still haven't found a solution to my problem despite my long and fruitless research on various forums. I found several VHS tapes that I would love to save to my Hard Drive, I purchased an EasyCap key that came with an installation DVD offering to install the program honestech TVR 2.5. However, when connecting my VCR's cables to the EasyCap key, I still cannot get any images :/ By downloading the "Corel VideoStudio Pro X8" program, it tells me that either there are no video capture drivers installed on the system or that no device is installed... I went to my device manager and in the audio, video, and game controllers tab to update the EasyCap drivers, and nothing works... I am not an expert when it comes to capturing video from an external device. I really hope you can help me, if you have any additional questions, I will answer them as quickly as possible! I completely agree, it's pure and simple crap!! But well, being still in school, I can only afford the lowest quality ... which makes me grind quite a bit :/

Hello, my capture software is the one sold with the honestech VHS to DVD 3.0 SE USB key. It installs correctly, well... but I can't select S-Video or composite; by default, it stays on composite. I have an image, but with 3 black bands, and I do have sound. However, I have 2 drivers on the device; in fact, thinking about it, this might not be normal. I'm going to try to remove one. I won't risk anything.

Hello, you are responding to messages that are a bit dated and I regularly post my unfavorable opinion on these cheap 4-wire USB keys on the forum due to the desperate calls on CCM.  There are tutorials on YouTube from users that need to be watched. Hello, I'm looking for answers to my questions. I agree that given the price, it's quite a scam. As for Pinnacle, it's well known that it's the best for video capture. According to some responses, there are people who supposedly managed to make the EasyCap work, but unfortunately, they don't provide the solution or it's just nonsense. I think if it's just a driver issue with Windows 10, it's silly not to have the solution, but it's still a hassle. I'm still looking a bit more. If I change my equipment and run into the same problem...
