How to open a pdf with opera without having to download it?

Hello,
Here is my problem: When I click on a web link giving me access to a pdf or excel document, my browser refuses to open it in "simple viewing" and asks me to download it. Can you tell me how to change this, please?

Configuration: Windows / Opera Next 45.0.2552.888

    Aaaaah yes, but actually no. I already have Adobe Acrobat Reader (and I have the feeling that Opera doesn't detect it) and as for the other explanations, they lead nowhere in my case :(

    You can open them with Firefox, it's simpler:

    1) install Firefox:
    https://www.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/new/

    2) save a PDF on your PC;

    3) right-click on the PDF and select "open with Firefox."

    After that, Firefox will open all PDFs (without saving them).

      I've already got Firefox and I've decided not to use it anymore because it's slow on my PC (I've uninstalled/reinstalled, changed settings, and nothing changes). Anyway, that's not the issue. I want to open PDFs via internet links to simply get a preview. It's usually something simple, but Opera won't do it and prefers to download them. Are there any other solutions, please?
