Hello,

I recently acquired a USB key that allows me to transfer my old tapes to PC (CSL 2.0 video grabber). Inside, there is the USB key with S-video output and 3 color cables + installation CD with honestech VHS to DVD 2.0 SE included. Since I don't have the S-video cable, I connected using the 3 color cables and installed everything. However, there's a problem: once the software is installed and launched, it doesn't seem to detect my camcorder, even though I'm properly connected to it. I tried reinstalling everything, unplugging and replugging the key and the 3 color cables, but nothing works; my camcorder is not recognized by the key... I'm on Windows 8 and my camcorder is a Samsung VP L-800 8mm Camcorder.

Can you help me, please? Thank you.

Configuration: Windows 8 / Chrome 58.0.3029.110

Hello, with a few long-time contributors on the forum, we practically answer every week regarding these kinds of "cheap" 4-pin USB keys.
We recommend the well-known and reliable Dazzle box.
However, check out YouTube; there are tutorials for installing this equipment made by people who apparently have succeeded in getting it to work.

Thank you very much for your reply, I just discovered the problem. The software is incompatible with Windows 8, I just tried it on my desktop PC running Windows 7 and it works great :) Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience ^^'
