Good evening,
I could have responded to you earlier, but well...
In fact, the color difference is not "normal" in the sense that the colors could have been preserved.
In the case of these videos, it is obvious that a color modification occurred before encoding.
I think the real hue is in the 720 capture.
Best regards

Hi Daddy
thanks for the link.
As for the screenshots posted by our friend, it is clear that the color was modified before going from 720 to 1080.
Look at this color difference... it's impossible for the change in format to cause such a difference.
Moreover, it's precisely the 1080 format that should be more "accurate" in terms of color, and here it's the opposite; the 1080 version has a "yellowish" tint, while in the 720 screenshot, the skin tones are respected.
Tonight... look at yourself in the mirror... if you have the same hue as the 1080 screenshot, you should see a doctor :-)
Best regards

Still, I do quite a bit of video editing and I've never seen such a color difference between 720 and 1080... on the other hand, it’s true that the transitions between color shades are more uniform because we're increasing the number of pixels.
I don't know... you're making me doubt... I’m going to do some tests.
