Hello,

I can no longer open a presentation file in Open Office; it directly opens a "ASCII filter options" window.

Is there any way to recover this file, please?

(Renaming to ppt does not work)
(Importing into Google Drive to open with Google Slides does not work either)

Thank you for your help!

    Hello,
    Try renaming it to .odt...

Renaming a document serves absolutely no purpose:

OOoForum is right. If the file is in odp, renaming the extension will do nothing better, or even worse.

It smells like a corrupted file.
The best thing is to send it to us by uploading it on cjoint.com and copying the link obtained. That way we can see for ourselves what's going on.

LibreOffice is the best alternative to Microsoft Office. It's no coincidence that LibreOffice is the default in almost all Linux distributions.
