PDF document display issue in Chrome

Hello everyone,
For the past few days, I've been having trouble viewing PDF documents in my browser (Google Chrome): first, the PDF appears for a few seconds, then it disappears. Instead of the document, I see a black page with a white puzzle piece in the middle.
Is this a problem due to an update of Adobe Acrobat Reader, or is my computer too outdated to display this type of document? (I am still on Windows 7).

Just a small clarification: I tried deleting the temporary files from my browser, updated Adobe Reader 9, but nothing works. However, I tried opening a PDF in Internet Explorer, and it works just fine.
So the problem comes from Google Chrome, but I don't know where to look... If anyone has an idea... It would really help me a lot.
