Connecting toy phones

Hello,
I just bought toy phone sets for the kids (like intercom house phones). However, I can't connect them together: I have two wires coming from each phone, but the plugs on the other end don't match. How can I connect them?

    Hello,
    Not having any idea about the plugs at the end of your device's wires or the model of the latter, it's difficult to assist you.
    Try to describe the plugs (even searching for them, in images, via Google), the color of the wires, and providing the references (brand and model) of these toy phones.

      This is what the toys look like, Carraro's intercom house phone model (Padova, Italy). In the photo, you can see a flat plug that connects to the phone. Logically, there should be a wire with a flat plug on each end to connect the phones... which I don't have.
      Does a basic telephone wire work like an electric wire? If we cut it, put on a connector, does it connect?

        The domino is the solution; indeed, there is no mystery in the wires. However, these devices operate on batteries, and it is essential that a polarity issue does not cause any damage.
        Are the wires on the phones bi-colored (gray and white) like in the image on the site? If so... please try to respect the colors (gray on gray and white on white).
