Remove the external junction box for telephone lines.

Hello,
When we bought our house, we didn't immediately notice this big gray France Telecom box fixed to our house's facade and all those cables running along our house to supply the neighborhood... today, with fiber, another box has been added above, along with the fiber cables....
My request is, who should I write to in order to have the external telephone box removed that is now managed by Orange and no longer France Télécom? Because the fiber follows the old France Télécom copper network. Thank you for your response.

Configuration: Android / Chrome 81.0.4044.111

    Hello,
The first box, formerly France Telecom... you need to contact Orange.
For the second box (Fiber), you should inquire with your operator (Orange, SFR, Bouygues,... etc)

    Hi,
you bought the house as is and you don’t own the cables running along the facade (quite common in the city), however, the notary should have warned you about the cable support constraint, it's strange that he didn't, sometimes there is also Enedis (EDF), but that's rarer.
If you want all this to be buried under the sidewalk or on poles in the street (unlikely, otherwise it would have already been done), you need to ask the town hall for the necessary civil engineering works, it’s better to take coordinated action with the neighbors for that.
Not to mention the additional connection fees for each home, good luck.
Still, it's often less unsightly than horrible poles on the sidewalk, especially when they end up in front of your window.

    Hello,

A new box has been installed for the fiber, which is normal, but removing the old box may not be possible as your neighbors might still be using the copper....

Thank you, Arthur, for your response. The fiber box is installed following the initial public network, from the copper line (France Télécom) which became Orange. If the fiber box is removed, there will be no fiber possible for at least 5 houses, including ours. Either the box is removed, or it stays, and I have no solution for all these cables that must already pass over our facade and those of the fiber that may follow the same route. Do you have a solution? Thank you very much.

I repeat, you will be using the fiber box so you will need it. Your neighbors might still be using copper, so they still need the copper box and the wires that come with it. As brupala, whom I greet, said, I have the Enedis cables arriving on my facade, while my neighbor has the telephone cables. This avoids having a bunch of wires in the air or extra poles and looks cleaner since everything is grouped together. As we were discussing with brupala, copper is set to disappear, and by 2030 there will be no more copper; it is planned that everything will be dismantled.
