DVD Playback: noise, buzzing

Hello,

I bought a second-hand DVD box set, the DVDs are in good condition, as well as the box.
I installed my DVD player on the PC and put the first DVD in it.

At that moment, the player makes a strange noise, like a loud buzzing, but the disc plays. The problem is that in the menu to choose the subtitles, episodes, and everything else, I can't select anything...
I tried with other DVDs, and they work perfectly: no loud noise, the menu works.

I even took apart my DVD player to clean the lens, but nothing changes; it seems that the DVD is defective, yet there are no visible scratches.

What’s going on?

Problem solved!
If it helps: I posted a message on another forum, and I was told that it could be due to the disc being unbalanced, or the drive itself.
My drive was from 2006, and the DVDs were quite new.
I ordered a new drive on Amazon (about €20, an Asus), I installed it and everything is working fine now.

Basically: drive issue, it might have had trouble reading the new DVDs, solved by changing the drive.
