W8.1, FF51.0.1 and the latest version of Ccleaner

Hello,

I have been using Ccleaner for a long time, with the standard settings. About once a month. And I am happy with it.

A little annoyance.
Windows keeps a history of recently opened files (for example; 1 Word history, 1 Excel history). Very handy.
When I run Ccleaner, these histories are deleted. They rebuild themselves with use. This takes time.
There is certainly a setting to position in Ccleaner's configuration. I looked at the Ccleaner tutorial prepared by CCM. Very comprehensive. But I can't find what I'm looking for.

    You must have some checkboxes to uncheck in the Cleaner/Applications section.

      Thank you for your response.
      I agree with you. But which parameters should I uncheck?
      I read the CCM tutorial (in French) on one monitor and the parameters of my FF (in English) on another monitor. I couldn't find what I was looking for.
      I'm open to suggestions. Thank you

      Well, as far as you're concerned, it's the History box (if present) that you need to uncheck).

      I made 2 attempts:

      by unchecking the "history" parameter
      by unchecking the "recent documents" parameter

      Failure in both cases.

      Afterwards, I don't think there's a historical case for Office; if you uncheck the Office boxes, do you still have the issue?

      Otherwise, I don't know since I don't have Office on my PC.....

      I’m going to temporarily drop this and go back to my workaround solution.
      I’ve made a list of about 15 files that I definitely use.
      After each run of Ccleaner, I open them all; and I have peace until the next run of CC.
      It’s a bit annoying. But once a month is a long time. And it’s manageable.

    My work environment: Mainly W8.1, Thunderbird, Firefox, Office 2007.
    I see an OFFICE icon in the upper left corner of my FF window. By clicking on this icon, I have access to my historical files.

    In a word: I am happy with Ccleaner. But I am not happy when it deletes my historical files!!!

    It's annoying, it's handy!? :o/

    Rather than running Ccleaner once a month, you can do it every day; there's even an option to "Clean at PC startup." ^^

      But yes: the history of the last viewed files is very nice. I also don't want Ccleaner to delete them every time the software starts.
      What is the point of launching Ccleaner at every startup? (except to further slow down the PC's startup!!!). If you see a reason, let me know.

      @RedstartOkay, but in that case, running Ccleaner once a month will definitely lead to it having more to delete, and therefore it takes longer. ^^
      But I still don't understand the title of the message "Ccleaner and Firefox"?
