Hello everyone!
So, we have had a Philips full HD LED TV for 3 days now. However, as soon as we turn it on, there is an electric background noise, like when a device is powered on... which is very unpleasant. We hear it mostly when the sound is low, when we change channels, or when there is a quiet moment in a movie! This noise is permanent. It only stops when we turn off the TV. We had the same problem with our old TV, but after 9 months. This time, it's from the first use... is this normal?

Thanks, everyone!

    Hello,
If the power outlet is a simple socket (without a ground), try reversing the connection

A surge protector is plugged into the power outlet.

Have you tried plugging it in without this surge protector?
I was talking about the TV socket; if it's a standard socket, try reversing its plug in your power strip.

Yes, we tried without the power strip, and also in another room. But there is still this unpleasant noise.

The noise seems to be coming from the power supply! We can hear it from there... so is that normal or not...
