Hello,

FAULT power supply card-Samsung-ue22d5003bw - The TV turns on and off, turns on and off, ...

Brand: Samsung

Model: UE22D5003BW

Year: 2010

Hello,

My Samsung TV (yes I know ... I've been told that already ...) turns on and off, turns on and off, ...
I haven't seen any bulging capacitors, nothing special on the horizon. I've seen a ton of reasons online (burned electrolytic capacitors, MKP capacitors, the ICM, diodes, etc.

So I took the power supply board to an electronics store. The salesperson - who is a technician - didn't see anything suspicious either. He still advised me to change the two MKP capacitors. Which I did right away.

But nothing! Before I embark on a crusade to desolder and test all the caps, then the diodes, etc., I'm trying to reach out to someone knowledgeable to help me with this repair.

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Ref; UE22D5003BW around 2010
The fault started for no reason at the beginning of summer 2017
So far I've changed two MKP capacitors - with no result.

    Hello,

it's a power supply that "drains"... it probably doesn't have a fault... It's the load that's plugged into it that's overconsuming...

The current rises... rises... rises, then is stopped by the safety features and it starts again... endlessly.

It could be any part of the TV...

Unfortunately... the panel and the backlighting are part of it and one or two short-circuited LEDs can cause this...

Does the screen light up... uniformly across the entire surface at the right moments?? Between two indicator light outages.

A quick photo in the dark and without a TV signal allows for image analysis in delay.
