Hello,
I need to modify a Word 97-2003 document with Word 2013 and Windows 8.
I have tried many solutions proposed on the Web, but I can't get it to work...
Do you have a tip?
Thank you
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 51.0

Hi
What’s the problem?
2013 can completely open a 2003 .doc
What are you doing? What’s happening? Error message?

Hello,
I don’t understand your issue. Word 2013 recognizes older versions and allows you to work on the file without any problem while keeping the .DOC extension, which makes it openable by older versions. This won’t be the case the other way if you haven’t downloaded the compatibility pack.
Now, if you want to convert your .DOC file with the Word 2013 extension, simply open your file and use Save As to assign it the .DOCX extension.
