Hello,
I ordered from Gearbest (maybe some know this site that seems reliable), a Nexbox Android TV to use Google Store apps on a TV.
So, MyCanal is installed and a message tells me: "your device is rooted. MyCanal is only compatible with Android devices certified by Google Play Store, unmodified and non-rooted."
Since I'm not a technician, this surprised me. What does rooted mean? Is there any risk in using Google Store and official apps like MyCanal, MyTF1, etc.?
It's surprising that they sell devices like this, or is it because it's sold internationally?
Thanks for your advice,

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 50.0

Rooted means that you have "unlocked" the administrator rights on your device, allowing you to do much more than if the system were original (for example, changing system files). I'm not really familiar with Android TV, so I can't advise you on what to do. As Diamantnoir said, you should seek help on Phonandroid, which is a forum specialized in everything related to Android.
