Hello! I inherited a friend's phone, mine just broke down, and she got a new one, so it's a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (great gift, oh yes I know ;) !!) But there is a password to unlock the said phone... Except she must have changed it shortly before but she can't remember it... I tried the technique with the volume up + volume down + home + and power buttons. When I do that, it displays: "a custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications.
If you want to download a custom OS press the volume up key. Otherwise, press the volume down key to cancel.
Volume up: continue
Volume down: cancel (restart phone)."
So when I press the volume down button it restarts the phone as if nothing happened. When I press the volume up button, this is what it shows:
I don't know how to proceed...
If you have any ideas... Thank you.

Hi doudou1796!
I invite you to check out this link:
https://www.samsung.com/fr/support/ and see how to access Recovery mode.
In my opinion, you are not using the correct combination of volume and power buttons, because if the first image you posted is the first thing you see, that is not the menu that should normally appear. There, it directly prompts you to install a system downloaded from the internet.

Yes indeed, I didn't have the right procedure, so now it's all good, thank you! :)
Hi!
Congratulations on your purchase. To reinstall the phone, simply turn it off properly, and press Volume Up + Home + Power.
A message will appear saying "Updating device" then "No command"; wait a little, then a menu will appear, use the volume buttons to select "Wipe data/Factory Reset"; confirm and restart the phone "Reboot".
This operation will erase all user data from the device; upon reboot, the phone will ask for the password of the Google account previously associated with the device (that's normal, your friend should know it). This password will only unlock the phone, this account will not be added. Then, you can log in with your Google account and set it up normally.
There you go! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
