Hello,
I have a problem; I want to remove my folders from iCloud Drive and keep them on my Mac. However, when I uncheck the Documents in iCloud Drive in the system preferences on my Mac, it deletes all the documents from my computer (I was able to recover them by reactivating iCloud Drive). I would like to remove them from iCloud Drive because it's taking up my iPhone storage, which is already very limited, and this thing complicates my life. That's it! Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.12) / Safari 10.0

Hello! Try changing their backup location. For example, the Pages files on my computer were automatically saved to iCloud after an update before I corrected the backup destination.

For a file, you need to either try "save as" or rename it (the parent file can suggest a change) or simply ask to display the file in its parent folder and from there move it by dragging and dropping it into another folder.
