Problem with "pending" document pages - iCloud synchronization

Hello,
I have recently started writing a book and thought it would be more enjoyable to do it on my iPad Air. I have heard great things about iCloud. Until now, I had no issues, but now I can't open the first document I created on the Pages app of my iPad Air.
I have updated all the apps and set up iCloud on all my devices.
I can only edit the document on icloud.com, my iPhone, or my iPad. But what I find confusing is that I can't do the same with my Mac.
I'm attaching a screenshot and thank you in advance for your responses.
