How to copy a CD-ROM and run it on PC. (for a game).

Hello,
I would like to copy the entire CD-ROM so I can run a game without having to insert it.
I've already tried creating an ISO image, but I want this ISO image to be recognized by the computer as a CD-ROM (so that the game runs just by clicking on the shortcut).

    Which version of Windows? (On 8 and 10, you just need to right-click on the iso and click on Mount

    This creates a virtual CD drive

    Ps: if the CD is protected, it’s useless to copy or mount it via an iso

      I am on Windows 10. But my external CD drive is still able to run the game. If the CD is protected, can we remove the protection? (It remains legal as long as only I am using it)
      For the ISO image, there is no "mount" option when I right-click.

      No, removing protection is never legal

      It's not on CCM that you'll get help with that

      If you're on W10, there must be "Mount" marked when you right-click on an iso file, or you have installed programs that removed this option

      with what did you create the iso image in that case?
      I think there must be a problem during the creation of the iso

      Ps: regarding legality, we can remove protections and make copies as long as it stays within the private domain.
