Hello,
I sent a message via Facebook to someone who was not my friend but with whom I have mutual friends.
Not having received a reply, I decided to add them. On Messenger, when I click on the message, the mention "Seen" appears. (without date, time, or any type of circle)
I feel like this "Seen" mention doesn't necessarily mean that the message has been opened and that it is still potentially in the filtered messages.
What do you think?
Thank you for your help
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.12.0) / Chrome 54.0.2840.71

Hello,
The mention "Seen" appears as soon as the interlocutor accesses the conversation. It is possible to "see the message without reading it" if one just opens the Messenger menu that displays the list of conversations. You can then catch a glimpse of part of the content, but no mention is displayed.
If the mention "Seen" is visible at the bottom of the conversation, then your interlocutor has indeed, in the literal sense, seen that you have sent them a message.
However, it is possible that they haven't read it, but in any case, they are aware that you sent them one :)
Best regards

Holmes, you will never solve this case.

I have friends who are blaming me for seeing their messages and not replying, while I haven't even opened my messenger but received them as notifications while watching a video on Facebook or in another app.
