Behost.fr - down hosting provider

Hello,

I have a VPS server hosted by behost.fr.
This server has been unresponsive for the past 3-4 days.
The host's website www.behost.fr has been displaying a maintenance page for the same duration.
The contact phone number is unreachable.
Emails sent to the sales service bounce back with an error.
The company's Facebook and Twitter pages are closed.
I therefore have no way to contact this company.
Is there anyone else with a server at this host who is experiencing the same issue?
I am considering sending a letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the company's headquarters and filing a complaint if I receive no response.

When looking at the Whois for BeHost.fr, we notice that they have hidden their identity, which is not a good sign.

In theory, you should have been notified of a major maintenance.

It is quite likely that they have ceased their activity.

I'm in the same situation as you, all my VPS are down and I can't reach them.
What I find strange is that my payment from 10 days ago has just been refunded by Paypal.

      Hello!

In the same situation as you.
The host's IP ranges are going nowhere...
The host must have shut down... :-(

The site redirects to an OVH maintenance page and no longer to their infrastructure...

    Hello,
I'm in the same situation as you!
I managed to find a personal address of the boss of behost; apparently they suffered a huge attack on their network and are trying to resolve the issue!
Not much more information, but if you have any, I'm interested!!
    Good evening,

Thank you, Konseil, for your response.
I checked on société.com: http://www.societe.com/societe/betech-solution-807381157.html, I have the address of the headquarters and the name of the manager, I will write a letter.
Does anyone have experience with possible legal actions to recover my credit and my data?
    Thank you.

      Anything new?

The email replies, they refuse to give me any information or a backup of my VMs.

Total incompetence... Mr. LEDUC... Definitely not willing to solve the problem.

Apparently a routing issue, seen on their site... Strange anyway...

    Hello,

In reality, BeHost is (was?) quite a serious company.

However, it seems they have had some significant issues affecting their network infrastructure and thus, access to their infrastructure and that of the clients hosted by their services.

The purposes and details have (not) yet been communicated, but they probably will be... let's hope so.

This is not the first time a service provider finds themselves in this kind of situation; last year they had to cease operations for several days due to a DDoS attack on their infrastructure, which caused some "damage"...

Unfortunately, for this type of service, smaller companies can sometimes be very vulnerable to this type of attack... while larger ones tend to be less vulnerable and often offer comparable prices, if not more attractive ones... ;-)

A network issue, yes, but one that directly impacts my business. I still had my customer service management server with them; I had decided to start migrating all my servers to OVH's SYS (Dedicated Server), but that one was still in production.

I understand there is a network problem, but it's unacceptable to refuse to return the data, I’m sorry.

Last email from them on 11/15 where Mr. LEDUC states that they are not responsible for anything and that they are subject to a "Best Effort" policy rather than results. I asked them to send me back the T&Cs, to explain the breakdown, ... no further response. I sent a registered letter, which they received the day before yesterday, and I am waiting for their reply.

      It's complete nonsense.
I had a VPS, I had an invoice of -15€ for several months that I hadn't paid... I knew there was already a problem.
Moreover, I don't even know how they are going to handle the refunds.

      Anyway, now behost is avoided.

Yeah... SoYouStart now, a dedicated server, several VMs and it's working well. I just want BeHost to reassure me about data integrity.

No news from them, I believe the site is going to close... (NO REAL SOURCE)

How will we proceed for refunds?
