Solved

Hello, I inserted a photo in a Word document (on Mac) and I unfortunately chose to place it "behind the text" but now I need to move it and I can't retrieve it. No matter how much I click on it, no action is possible; what can I do? Thank you!!

    Hello Garance30,

Right-click on the image; in the context menu, select:
“Text wrapping” then “In front of the text”.

If your issue is resolved, please go to the top of the page
to click on “Mark as resolved”.

    Best regards. 😊

Thank you very much Alkban, but actually, my problem is that I can't select the image (since it's behind) I've tried all the tabs, I can't find it... :-(

Home tab, Modification group (all the way to the right), click on
“Select,” then “Select Objects”; your mouse pointer will
be a small arrow that will allow you to select the image
to move it, or right-click on it: context menu =>
option to choose: “In front of text.” After that, don't forget to
click again on “Select Objects” to get back to the normal text pointer (in the shape of an I): text cursor.

If it’s ok, don’t forget to mark the subject as resolved, thank you!  😊

Thank you, Albkan. Well, I don't think I'm an idiot, but I don't have a "modifications" tab; I have a "review" tab, in which "modification" appears, but there's no "select an object" option, or am I looking in the wrong place???

No: I didn't talk about the Modification tab! I talked about the Home tab,
the very first one, with the option to choose the font and size. Then,
at the far right, don't you see a small white arrow with the text
"Select" just to the right? Right below, there is the name of the Group:
"Modification". (description for Word 2007 PC version) Please specify
which version of your Word for Mac you have: 2016?
      Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you Alban, no I'm on a Mac, and I don't see what you're talking about, but I finally solved my problem by shrinking my table, so my photo appeared next to it and I was able to grab it!
Thank you for your help and your quick response! Have a great day!
