Background color not saving / Word 2019

Hello,

I'm currently using Word 2019 but I have a problem!

Indeed, I chose to set a green background color on all my pages. So far, no problem, but once the document is saved and closed, the background color disappears. I have to reapply the green background color every time I reopen the file!

How can I make the background color remain constant without disappearing each time I close the document?

Thank you

    Hello,

After testing, I don't have this behavior; in the case of a complex document (tables...), the color only applies to the selected area.

If you want all new documents to have a specific background color, you'll need to open the Normal.dotm template file (after backing it up elsewhere just in case) with Word and modify it accordingly.

      Hello,

I will try with the file because this is not normal! Thank you for your reply.

An obvious cause could be read-only files or on an external medium that is itself read-only (or an unactivated Word version).

Otherwise, as I said, I had no problems with background template creation.
